The Crescent locking pliers are engineered to meet exacting standards, ensuring enhanced durability and long-term performance. These pliers comply with stringent ASME B107.24 and B107.36 standards, including those for strength and maximum jaw capacity. Each pair of Crescent locking pliers features a cushion grip trigger release for easier opening and a large hex key recess for additional leverage when tightening. The head and body are designed with a narrow profile, making them ideal for work in tight and confined spaces.
The versatile curved jaw includes an integral wire cutter and a compound action for a powerful non-slip locking grip, enhanced by an angled tooth pattern for a better hold. The knurled adjusting screw can be easily turned by hand or with a hex key inserted into the hex key receiver on the bottom of the screw. Once the initial grip is set, the pliers can be further tightened by turning the adjusting screw with a hex key. Additional features include a plastisol dip on the release lever for improved comfort and a nickel-plated finish that resists rust and corrosion. The maximum jaw opening size matches ASME specifications.
